Vibrance 2017
Vibrance Festival is a street art festival and was held over the weekend of the 25th and 26th of March, 2017.
Vibrance commissioned 8 Tasmanian street artists to paint over 300m2 of wall in the heart of Hobart. The site of the largest wall was transformed into a buzzing festival complete with music high quality Tasmanian food and beverages, street skating demonstrations from Jimmy’s Skate and Street, and a public wall for people of all ages to have a go working with spray paint in a safe and controlled environment.
Vibrance Festival was run as part of the HCC’s Creative Hobart and Urban Art Walls Project.

As Aedan Howlett worked on some details for his section of the wall, the public took direction from Martin Nester on how to use spray paint.

Sarah Etheridge worked with The Country Womens Association to bring their wall to life as part of Vibrance Festival

As the painters painted the skaters from Jimmys Skate and Street put on a show using a combination of found objects and custom made obstacles.

Sundowners and music as the sunset threw beautiful light across the event

Our amazing team of dedicated volunteers made sure the festival ran smoothly - we could not have done it without them!

And soon, under the watchful eye of the mask created by Roger Scholes, the Saturday night party was in full swing

Hugs finished us off late on Saturday night... just in time for us to get the site ready for day 2
