Map Artwork Submission

This page contains instructions for artists to submit artwork for inclusion in the Vibrance Street Art Map. To learn more about the map, visit the maps project page.

Who can submit artwork?

We welcome artwork submissions from artists who have murals in Lutruwita/Tasmania. The person submitting the artwork must be one of the creators or someone who was involved in the commissioning of the mural.

What artworks are eligible?

Any piece of street art that fits the following guidelines are welcome:

  • Must not contain any advertising for a company or organisation. If an artwork has been created within a theme related to an adjacent business, that's ok as long as it does not prominently feature any logos, business names or brand marks as part of the design. Small sign offs shouting out companies or people who supported the mural are ok.
  • Must be in a public place that anyone looking for it can access without trespassing on private property.
  • A maximum of 5 murals from one artist/program can be submitted every 6 months unless otherwise negotiated.

How to submit?

To submit an artwork please email info@vibranceprojects.com with the following information:

  • Artist (or list of artists) who created the artwork. A maximum of 8 artists can be listed.
  • Websites or a social media profiles for each artist (optional)
  • One high quality picture of the entire artwork. No watermarks/company logos to be included in image.
  • The exact latitude and longitude of the artwork.
  • The date the artwork was completed.

How do I find the latitude and longitude of a mural location?

There are various ways to do this, but we recommend the following:

  1. Go to maps.google.com
  2. Find the mural location on the map.
  3. Right click on the exact artwork location on the map. Make sure you select a location within 5m of the artwork.
  4. Click the that numbers at the top of the menu that appears
  5. The latitude and longitude are now copied to your clipboard. You can paste them into your email to us by right clicking and selecting "Paste".
